Senior DevOps Engineer
We build technologies that customers and colleagues love and other builders respect. But we’re building more than technologies, we’re also building ourselves.
The future of retail technology won’t come from a single effort or invention, but rather from ArgosTech teams empowered to build that future. That’s why we invest in people and teams, not projects.
Our Engineering teams build new tech in greenfield status across several digital channels such as our Website (1B yearly visits), In Store Digital Tablets (12M+ monthly users), Mobile Apps (6M+ downloads) and 900 Retail Stores. We have been ranked the 2nd largest digital retailer in the UK and have just been awarded 'Tech Retailer of The Year 2017.'
In the end, we expect to build the best place in the world to build the best tech in retail.
Technologies in our Stack
Java 8, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Docker, SpringBoot, Postgres, Kafka, Mesos, Marathon, DynamoDB, Lambda, RDS, Elastic, React, Redux, Kibana, Scala, Node, Python, on a micro services architecture running on AWS.
We are building out our self-service platform designed for containerised microservice technologies using Mesos and Marathon, running on AWS, Docker, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform and heavy CI/CD pipelines. The platform also enables our teams to seamlessly integrate with cloud technologies such as RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, and serverless Lambda functions.
Working here, you will be building and enhancing our Mesosphere platform, owning the development, automation, operation and support of a complete self-service platform that enables our Agile Engineering teams to provision on-demand environments and implement continuous delivery pipelines for new services. From idea generation, through to delivery, our DevOps engineers have a wide latitude as a key leading team to ensure our engineering teams are adopting and innovating on new infrastructure technologies.
o As part of the DevOps team you will advise the organization as to which technology stacks / cloud / data solutions to use to ensure we are delivering at the highest possible industry standards.
