A Habitat Sales Consultant always puts customer service at the top of their list. They are motivated by targets, unflappable and are a star at creating sales opportunities. A people person, they are approachable and a born natural at striking up a conversation to help the customer get the most out of their visit. A stickler for the highest levels of service and care, they are the Duracell bunnies of our sales team with an energy, passion and enthusiasm that’s infectious.
This role is for 37.5 hours per week.
As a Sales Consultant, you’ll:
Use confidence to deliver a great customer experience through passionate and engaging conversation with customers
Put yourself in the customer’s shoes, put them first, react positively to their feedback
Communicate well with customers and colleagues; value and understand their viewpoint and react accordingly. Always check that company messages are understood by being concise and clear in all communication. Receive and share information in a positive and timely manner
Work with others to solve problems, sharing best practice to help create a healthy competitive workplace. Take on tasks that may not be in your remit in order to support other colleagues, and always be happy to help the team
Show interest in how Habitat works outside and inside your own store/department, whilst looking for new business opportunities and suggesting new ideas
Identify and offer solutions to store/department issues, with an awareness of what competitors are doing. Be able to deal with challenges as they arise
Understand that tough decisions have to be made and support colleagues in this area
Your experience, skills and qualities will include:
Proven record in direct sales
Always delivers on their goals and objectives. Always wants to be better and do more
Sees and acts on all opportunities
Motivates the team to work together to achieve the best outcomes
A people person who is able to communicate at all levels
Ability to build relationships internally and externally
Ability to problem solve and interpret data
